Sam Chivers and Sam Williams work together in Magic Torch arts collective were they create magazine covers and editorial design for big name publications like Classic Rock and New Scientist.
Sam Chivers has been developing a series of abstract landscapes with strong compositional elements incorporating a nostalgic memory of 60's and 70's science fiction editorials.
Rhys Wootton creates fantasy based artwork inspired by films and music, hand drawing epic scenes using dynamic perspective. He hand screen-prints his own work, often using vibrant colour blends and colour overlays. He new prints for the show are reinterpretations of Sci-Fi Classic posters for movies such as Back to the Future and Close encounters.
Sam Williams work also shares Science Fiction themes reinterpreting a more 50's vibe. He has worked with computer based illustration for 8 years and was reintroduced to screen-printing in 2008. Both artists have created new work for the show based on films, mathematics, space and nostalgic computer games.
